08-December-2006 Honolulu, Hawaii
I finally had a somewhat decent sleep on this trip. The overnight flight from Nagoya, Japan to Honolulu, Hawaii was mostly empty, very quiet and I had no one sitting next to me so I could sprawl out in my seat.
There is something wonderful about waking up, looking out your window and seeing the majestic mountains of the Island of Oahu being lit up by the early morning sunlight.
I left the airport at 9:AM and met with a fantastic wedding coordinator (unfortunately the second coordinator I was scheduled to meet with had the Flu) at her home office. I really enjoyed my meeting with Laura at Parasol Events. Her style and overall view of wedding coordination is just wonderful and very much outside of the box. I love people who work "outside the box."
My stay in Honolulu was very brief, I left the airport at 9:AM and was on a 2:15pm flight departing Honolulu bound for Los Angeles. In LAX I would pick up my third overnight, red-eye, flight on the 8th of December. I am not sure if three red-eyes on one calendar date is a record, but it wasn't the easiest way to to travel.
Overall I feel my trip to meet these wedding coordinators was a success.
If anyone is bored and wants to watch a Quicktime Movie if still photos of my "Day In The Life" of December 8th you can watch it online at:
