This morning I had the pleasure of photographing Father Edward Sheridan presiding over his first Mass as a newly Ordained Priest. What a great morning it was for Father Ed to preside over his first Mass, blue skies, warm sun, beautiful church and not a single open seat in the pews at Saint Raphael's Church.

This photo story, is Part 2 of 2, as Edward Sheridan becomes "Father Ed" to serve his community and the Catholic Church as a Priest.

Can you get a more photogenic subject than the Empire State Building? Having grown up looking at the Empire State Building my entire life, it has been the focus of countless photos through my lens. 

Tonight I had a unique request, this request was to photograph a specific view of the Empire State Building from an apartment window in Chelsea, before the view gets blocked by a new building being constructed.

Can you imagine having such a fantastic view of the Empire State Building, then losing it? 

Hopefully these photos can stand as a life size reminder of the window's view

This morning I was privileged to be able to document the Ordination of Edward Sheridan, at Saint Agnes Cathedral.

Today was a fun day, I got to shoot a travel story for The Boston Globe, on Essex, Connecticut. Luckily Essex is only a 20 minute drive from my house. Most of my shoots to not enable me to be home in the morning then be home for dinner the same night (although it was a later dinner).   

I shot all along Main Street, two museums (The Pratt Museum and Connecticut River Museum), explored a number of stores, viewed some fantastic local wines on display (at The Griswold Inn), , hung out on a dock, saw the restoring of a classic steam engine (at the Essex Steam Train)  got to view a fantastic playhouse (at the Ivoryton Playhouse)  and meet some really nice people during my day out in Essex.

Below are 12 of my favourite images from today's shoot.....although I shot close to 1,000 images all around the town.

For the 100th posting in my blog, I thought I should post something I liked to look at.   Keeping with this post's milestone number, I am posting photos of my three kids.

To shoot this photo, I created a location studio on the porch of a friend's house.  Some white seamless paper, three strobes, a lot of Gaffers Tape and I was off and running shooting photos of kids (my kids and our friend's three kids as well).

The photos in order are from oldest to youngest
Lauren, who will be 7 in 15 days ,  Max who is 2.5, Simon who joined our family in late January of this year.
