It's that time of the year again! One of my favourite holidays..........Halloween!
This year is Simon's first Halloween, so I thought it would be fitting to build a little studio on my kitchen table, hollow out a big pumpkin and toss Simon in it.

This afternoon was spent along beach at sunset. Romantic isn't it? Well not for me, but I hope it was at least fun for Kristine and Carl.

Each and every year since I have had kids, Starting with Lauren way back in 2000, we have gotten our Halloween Pumpkins from the same family owned road side farm, The Rytuba Pumpkin Farm. This is a tradition I don't plan to give up any time soon. When we started visiting this farm we lived in Vermont, then we lived just down the road one town over in Massachusetts, and now we are around 100 miles away in Connecticut.
This year we brought the newest addition to our crew Simon and placed him on the stack of pumpkins that we have placed his sister and brother before him on. Max, who will be 3 in December, pulled the wagon this year and Lauren, the Senior of the bunch, at 7, had some fun shooting photos of her baby Simon.

Every year I have the pleasure of photographing the Family & Friend's Weekend at Hampshire College. This weekend is packed with alumni events, the annual Farm Festival , displays of students work and it keeps me on my toes. The down side to this? Much of what I shoot is seminars in lecture halls, meets and greets and invite-only breakfast at The President's House.
This year I decided to shoot some of these features with a more "news" style to my images. Taking on this style was a success and I enjoyed my time doing it.
Below are three images from this days events. The first image is of students protesting a potential change in academic policy, and the second two images are from Hampshire College Alum and Academy Award Nominated film maker Ken Burns, as he discusses his latest project "The War."
